Jaxon’s Cake Smash

Jaxon’s Cake Smash

A few months ago an email came through from Jaxon’s mamma. She was referred to me by my favorite jeweler, Amy. She works at my FAVORITE jewelry store in Williamsburg, Va. Stop by Goodman and Son’s and ask for her if you are looking for some sparkle! ANYhow, mamma was looking for a milestone session for her baby’s first birthday. After a little planning and a lot of fun I am super excited to share Jaxon’s cake smash!

Just like newborn sessions, we did family poses first! With a super wiggly toddler it is a little more difficult and I have to be lightning fast! We got some AWESOME images for their very first professional family portrait! jaxonjaxon

This little guy is so photogenic! I love his images in both color and black and white!

Next Jaxon changed into a cute nautical outfit. His mamma pulled out a really neat captains wheel. It was the perfect prop for the nautical theme used for Jaxon’s cake smash!

Time for Cake!

After some fun with this set up it was time to get to the good stuff… CAKE! Jaxon’s cake smash features nautical touches. Lots of blues, anchors and seersucker topped the theme off perfectly!

Isn’t his little outfit the cutest!? Mamma got it on Etsy! The shop is Slick & Boogers.

Jaxon didn’t mess around when it came to getting to business here. When it comes to being a serious cake eater you might say Jaxon… takes the cake! HA HA HA!

He didn’t cry or look to mom for encouragement. Jaxon dug right in with hands AND feet! This little dude thoroughly enjoyed getting every morsel from his little toddler hand.

Thank you Sarah and Stephen for allowing me to share in Jaxon’s big moment.

Your little boy is wonderful and I am looking forward to watching him grow!

To Amy at Goodman’s, another huge thank you  for sharing the love & referring this sweet family to me!
